Here are pictures from this month. We went to Nashville on Mother's Day weekend and stayed with mom and went to her church's Mother/Daughter Banquet. It was very nice and we had a good time. The theme was Kentucky Derby. The food was delicious and I had mom get the recipes from the lady who cooked the dinner so I can make it at home.
Update on everyone...David's dad...he has one more chemo treatment left. They did a PET scan on him a couple weeks ago and almost all of the cancer is gone. There is still some in the lymph nodes in his neck. He is very tired and has lost A LOT of weight and his hair is starting to grow back now. It is coming in all white. It will be strange to see him with a head full of white hair and not black.
Kaycee will be starting swimming lessons next month. She is VERY excited. Britt and Erica took her in the pool yesterday with her floats on and she was all over the pool without any help from the girls.
Brittany and Erica are happy to be out of school. They just returned from a Girls' Ministries weekend trip to Fall Creek Falls and had a great time...minus the ticks, mosquitoes and spiders!
Erica is now studying for her driver's permit. By the end of June I will have TWO children driving! Wow, does time ever fly by!!!! Erica had to go and get a new "hair do" because Kaycee decided to give her a hair cut. Luckily, Erica's hair was pretty long and she was able to get a cut that blends the missing chunk of hair in. She looks very pretty with her new look.
Brittany is still job hunting and gets very discouraged about not being able to get hired anywhere. She is going Friday morning for her senior picture for next year's yearbook. I can't believe my "little Brittany Sue" will be 18 this year. It makes me so sad to think about her growing up and leaving the house in the next few years.
Melissa, Eric and the girls came in a few weeks ago for a brief visit due to a funeral they had to go to. It was nice to see them and spend time with them. Echo is getting so tall and skinny and so pretty. Pressley is just a cute little chunk. It upset me that she wouldn't let me hold her at first, but she warmed up to me and we had a really good time. She is so funny in the bathtub. She LOVES to splash the water!
Daniel is training for a supervisor position at his job with Green Mountain Coffee. From what I hear from him he loves his job and it is an awesome place to work. Nancy is still having health issues. She was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto's Disease. I worry about her a lot. Zach is still silly Zach and misses seeing his "girlfriend" Cassidy. She has lymphoma also and just recently had a stem cell replacement.
Mom is still looking for a job and only has a couple months left of school. We will be going to her graduation ceremony in November!
David and I will be celebrating our 13 year anniversary on June 6th! I have officially been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and anxiety disorder. I am on meds for both and I am doing a lot better with the anxiety but the doctor is still trying to figure out the correct dose and medicine for the fibromyalgia. Hopefully it will get straightened out soon!
