The End of 2011

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I enjoyed the time that I got to share with my family. Since the last time I blogged...almost a year ago...I have a new job. I work as a lab assistant at LabCorp. I love my job and I am so much happier without the stresses of working for David's Bumpers. The symptoms of my fibromyalgia have almost totally disappeared since I do not have all that stress. I'm not thrilled about having to get up at 4:30 every morning, but I'll live with it. I thank God every day for giving me this job and I am so thankful for all He has done for me and my family. God is so good! Kaycee is in kindergarten and is doing awesome. She loves school and is the smartest kid in her class :) Erica is doing very well in school also. She is now a senior. Where does the time go? She works part time at the Knoxville Teachers Federal Credit Union right now. She will be volunteering with a hospice two times a week at the beginning of the new year. She has a boyfriend now. So far, so good. Trey seems to be a very respectful young man and treats her very well. Brittany is still doing very well on her own. She just turned 20! I can't believe that! She is engaged to Joe. Not sure when they will be tying the knot. I do miss having her around the house though. Eric, Melissa and the girls have moved back to Tennessee. They are living in Maryville. I am so happy to have them back. Mom is doing well and is working at Goodwill. Not her ideal job, but it pays the bills. I am excited for the new year and excited to see what God has in store for us. Happy New Year everyone!!!

2011

Hope everyone has had a happy new year. I seem to keep forgetting about this blog. I get so busy with everything else going on around me and the things I have to get done and sometimes I don't even remember that I started this. So far, to date, in this new year, Brittany has moved out on her own. Can't say that I'm real thrilled about that, but I knew she would have to leave one day. She has a nice little apartment and has a great full time job working at Green Mountain Coffee Roasters. Kaycee did not take to Britt moving out very well. She didn't quite understand what it meant for Britt to get her own apartment...now she does. She cried quite a bit the first night Britt was gone and keeps asking me why Britt doesn't live with her anymore. Kaycee is doing very well in Pre-K and is learning to read. She surprises me sometimes with her reading skills. I have a feeling she is going to be bored to death in kindergarten next year. She attends a private school right now and will be going to a public school next year. They are currently working on end of the year kindergarten work right now. Erica is doing very well in school also. She's a junior this year. She is very excited about going to college to become an RN and work in the NICU. She worked as a volunteer at Children's Hospital over the summer and just recently got a tour of the NICU courtesy of one of the nurses that we go to church with that works there and loves it. David and I decided to do something for ourselves and we have started working out together. His goal is to drop 20 pounds and my goal is to drop 10 more. So far, so good, but we'll keep our fingers crossed...lol

JOE'S BIRTHDAY

Brittany and I went on a "birthday weekend trip" to Pigeon Forge with Joe and his family for his 18th birthday. His family is a lot of fun to be around and we had a really good time.

Brittany was snoring for over 2 hours and kept me awake.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRITTANY AND ERICA!

Brittany turned 18 on Christmas Eve this last year. She will be graduating on May 22nd. I can't believe how fast time has flown by! She has a boyfriend now too. Joe is a very sweet boy. David is having a lot of trouble dealing with the fact that she has a boyfriend now. I tell her it's just because he loves her and wants to protect her and it will eventually get better.
Erica turned 16 on February 4th. We are now in the process of car hunting...uugghhh! I am so sad that my girls are growing up. I wish I could keep them little forever.

Our first snow of the year. The girls loved it! I, on the other hand, HATE snow and cold weather! Kaycee made this snowman all by herself :)
