OCTOBER 15, 2000

Today marks 8 years that dad has been gone. I really miss him so much. I know he would have enjoyed watching Britt, Erica and Zach growing into young adults and he would have loved to play with Kaycee, Echo and Pressley. Kaycee loves to look at pictures of him. She calls him "poppy Donnie". I have posted some pictures of him. It wasn't easy to find pictures with him in them. He didn't really like to have his picture taken. Hope you enjoy them.

So hard not to cry when I see your tears,
Always you have been the one to be strong,
You used to hold me, take away my fears,
Now it is my turn to try to be strong,
I will forever be right here for you,
A person so special and dear to me,
You have always been a friend so true,
And in my heart you will always be,
Sometimes it hurts so much I have to cry,
I wish I could take all your pain away,
Hurts to see you suffer and slowly die,
Please do not go yet, I want you to stay,
I promise I will try not to be sad,
And I want you to know, I love you, Dad
